Having time freedom and money freedom allows you to spend time with the ones you care. Children often spell love as t-i-m-e. I get to be involved with my sons as they grow up. I pick them up from school, get to know how their day went and get plenty of quality time because I spend quantity time with them.

Another aspect of time freedom struck home last week. My oldest son had some minor foot surgery done and one of the requirements is that an adult had to be with him for 24 hours after the surgery. Ordinarily, parents would’ve had to decide who would burn a vacation day to be with their children in this situation. For me, the biggest disruption was the fact we had to be at the hospital at 6 am. We left at 9:30 am and we were home by 9:45.

Since I work from home, I could be there for him without a major disruption in my day.
